Is Joel Embiid the best scoring center since Wilt? some contenders for this title are Shaq, David Robinson, and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Comparing players in different NBA eras is very difficult and impossible to truly predict. That being said, Joel has adapted his game to fit perfectly in the modern NBA and is the best shooter from mid-range and from three. Shaq has been better however scoring at the rim. What makes Embiid unique is his ability to change his playstyle based on his matchup. He can play like Shaq and bully his way to the rim every time, or play like Jordan or Kevin Durant and shoot a ton of fadeaway jumpers. He has the versatile skill set of a guard with the elite footwork and size of a traditional center. He is the ideal modern-day center with virtually no weaknesses. His playmaking can improve and his injury history is the only thing slowing him down from establishing himself as one of the best players in the world. The sky is the limit for Embiid going forward as he has entered the prime of his career. In terms of a talent perspective, Embiid's versatility is unrivaled. He doesn't rely on one specific move or skill and can play any style. If Embiid can stay healthy for a full season, the Sixers are a force to be reckoned with for years to come.
