Sixers vs Raptors Game 3 Recap

Writer's picture: Paul KhalilPaul Khalil

After two fairly dominant wins in Philadelphia, the 76ers headed up north into Toronto for the first time in the playoffs since the infamous shot heard around the world that ended the Sixers season two short years ago. A tough game was to be expected as it was the first home playoff game for the Raptors and they put on a show for the home crowd for sure. The Sixers did not hold a lead in this game for all of 48 minutes in regulation, but were able to seal the deal with a dagger three point turnaround jump-shot from Joel Embiid. Pascal Siakum and Fred Vanvleet shot a combined 9 for 29 from the field as the Sixers played great defense and did just enough offensively. Tyrese Maxey chipped in 19 points and Tobias Harris had a double double as well. The Sixers now hold a dominating 3-0 series lead with game four set for Saturday. Raptors star rookie Scottie Barnes was not able to play as he attempts to recover from the ankle injury he suffered in game one. James Harden was pretty efficient shooting the ball 7-13 with 19 points and 10 assists. He fouled out of the game with 27 seconds left in regulation. Embiid enjoyed a little trash talk with Drake as well as he said he's "Coming for the sweep". OG Anunoby led the Raptors in scoring with 26 points as well as 24 from Gary Trent Jr. The Sixers will attempt to close out the series in game 4 which is set for Saturday.
